Diagrams, Line Art, & Icons
A good diagram conveys needed information non-verbally in a concise, detailed manner. It can clarify a text passage, or stand on its own as a visual explanation of content. These sample diagrams are from a floor underlayment brochure, a technical instruction sheet packaged with a product, an instructional book and a foodservice catalog.
The gold icons were designed for use as control buttons in pressed and unpressed states. The red icons were used to indicate sections in a brochure.
The cartoon drawings were used to put a positive, friendly feel to an unpleasant subject. They were successful in convincing grocery chains to stock shelves and rotate product in a manner advocated by a certain major food company.
